To make use of Gears, you'll want on the list of following:

* Microsoft Windows xp, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 with Firefox 1.5-3.6, Internet explorer 6-8, or Google Chrome


* Apple Mac OS X 10.4+ with Firefox 1.5+


* Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 (or higher) or 10.5.3 (or more) with Safari 3.1.1. Note that Gears isn't readily available for Safari on Mac OS X 10.6


* Linux with Firefox 1.5-3.6


* Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 or maybe more, with Internet explorer 4.01+


* Android 1.x (pre-installed). Note that Android 2.0+ seriously isn't supported.

Gears isn't available for Mozilla Firefox 4+, Internet explorer 9+, and Google Chrome on Mac or Linux

The examples below devices are at present not supported:

* Samsung i320 and i320N

* Buzz
